Usain Bolt wins 200M in World Record

Usain Bolt has proved the pundits right with a magnificent run that has him beating the seemingly unbeatable record of Michael Johnson, running 19.30 to top a crack field that included the previous olympic champion, Shawn Crawford. Churandy Martina put in a sterling performance, setting a National Record in the process to make it a Caribbean 1-2 on the podium. Bolt’s performance beats Johnson’s record by a full .02 seconds. So awe inspiring was the performance that even the American team was elated with the performance. Wallace Spearmon shouting his congratulations into the camera. Windies Sports congratulates Usain Bolt on a stunning and superb performance on the world’s largest track stage.

Congratulations to the Caribbean men in the 100M

Windies Sports wants to congratulate Usain Bolt and Richard Thompson for their sterling performance in the Olympic Men’s 100M. Usain won the 100M in a World Record 9.69s blowing away the field, even having time towards the end for celebration before the line. Richard Thompson was over the moon copping second in yet another personal best for the Olympics 9.89s. Walter Dix represented the USA well bringing in the bronze for the USA.

But impressively for the Caribbean we had six representatives in the final: Usain Bolt - 1st, Richard Thompson - 2nd, Churandy Martina - 4th, Asafa Powell - 5th, Michael Frater - 6th and Marc Burns - 7th.
