CONCACAF women make run for gold

The Olympic qualifiers are now on for Women’s soccer in the region. The qualifiers thus far have yielded some rather interesting results, the most astounding ones being the Cuban victory over the British Virgin Islands - 21:0 and the Trinidad and Tobago win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines - 9:0. BVI Cricket Team shares victory with Anguillan team

June 23-24th highlighted two Stanford 20-20 matches that were played between BVI and Anguilla. This was part of a tour to Anguilla of the BVI Cricket Association in an effort to prepare for the Stanford 20-20 tournament by strengthen their team’s abilities. Anguilla won the first day with 114 for 4 off their allotted 20 overs but was bowled out for 108 in the19th over.

Scotiabank Anguilla Limited sponsors Kiddies Cricket

On June 3rd, Red and Blue teams were formed in an effort to promote the development of cricket in primary schools. The Red team represented Scotiabank who sponsored a ten over match, and the Blue Team represented Michael Fleming, a supporter of youth cricket. The Red Team scored 47 runs for 8 wickets off ten overs the first battle and in response, the Blue team scored 45 for 7 wickets. Keep it up kids!!
