Usain Bolt, against a quality field that had the likes of Shawn Crawford, managed to clock a 10s run in pouring rain to cop top podium position in the 100M. It’s Bolt’s first outing of the year at this distance and he didn’t disappoint the thousands of fans that were watching. With a fluke occurrence that had the clock frozen at 9.2s at the end of the race, many including the clock, were expecting a fast race but two false starts and one disqualification as well as rain seemed to conspire against that. In the end the field finished as follows:
