Kerr finishes 13th

National skier, Errol Kerr, was on fire at the Lake Placid Ski Cross World Cup, qualifying second behind World Cup leader Andreas Matt of Austria from a field of 73 skiers.

Kerr, who switched allegiance from the United States to represent Jamaica – the land of his father’s birth – finished 1/10 of a second behind Matt and 1/100 of a second ahead of former US Downhill champion Daron Rahlves who eventually won the competiton.

What Kerr characterised as slow snow conditions eventually thwarted Kerr’s attempt to make it into the finals. While making his move, Kerr got bogged down in soft snow on his pass attempts to eventually finish 4th in his quarter final and thirteenth overall.
