Tulsa’s Jerome Jordan was named the Conference USA player of the week Monday. It’s the fourth time he’s won the honor this season, and has won the award in back-to-back weeks.
The 7-0 junior center averaged 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in games against first-place Memphis and Marshall last week. Jordan scored 20 points and added 13 rebounds against Memphis, and scored a career-high 25 points and had 10 rebounds against Marshall.
Memphis’ Tyreke Evans was named the league’s rookie of the week. He has won the league’s rookie award five times this year.
