Suriname pulled out a narrow 2-1 victory over Netherland Antilles in their recently concluded Group G clash in the Digicel Caribbean Cup. Though it was really slow going in the first half, with neither side being able to assert dominance. It wasn’t until the second half when Suriname’s Cleven Wanabo pounced on a rebound to power it home past the keeper. Wanabo made it two seven minutes later after being set up beautifully by Suriname’s Sandvliet on a swift flank move. The consolation goal came in the 83rd minute when Roasario Demy capitalized on a mistake to slot home at the near post and narrow the lead. At the end of the 90 minutes though, Suriname remained ahead to glean winners points.
