Jamaican women cop the bronze in Olympic 4x400M

The underdog Jamaican women’s 4x400M team copped the bronze at the Beijing 2008 Olympics with a gutsy performance by a team not favoured to medal. The much fancied British team with World and Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu could only manage fifth whilst the US team through a olympic effort from Jamaican born Sanya Richards, beat the Russian team down the stretch to win. The bronze winning team consisted of:

Novelene Williams
Shereefa Lloyd
Bobby-Gaye Wilkins
Shericka Williams
Rosemarie Whyte

Congratulations again to team Jamaica
