Usain Bolt has proved the pundits right with a magnificent run that has him beating the seemingly unbeatable record of Michael Johnson, running 19.30 to top a crack field that included the previous olympic champion, Shawn Crawford. Churandy Martina put in a sterling performance, setting a National Record in the process to make it a Caribbean 1-2 on the podium. Bolt’s performance beats Johnson’s record by a full .02 seconds. So awe inspiring was the performance that even the American team was elated with the performance. Wallace Spearmon shouting his congratulations into the camera.
