Brazil saw some fine athletics on display at the Grande Premio Sao Paulo/Caixa de Atletismo meeting on Thursday. None more so than Randy Lewis’s amazing jump which not only won the triple jump event but also erased a national record that he had set last year. The Grenadian leaped to a nation leading 17.49m bettering his previous mark of 17.43. It’s the second best distance this season even with the complaint from the Grenadian that he had not been able to effectively rest from his trip on Tuesday.
