Jamaica’s senior athletes gave their supports at the Penn relays something to cheer about. Both the men’s 4×100M team and the women’s sprint medley team registered wins in their events against formidable opposition. The men’s team of Marvin Anderson, Michael Frater, Nesta Carter and Dwight Thomas capitalized on a costly mistake by the much fancied US Red team and a less than spectacular US Blue Team. The men won in 39.04s with the US Blue Team finishing second in 39.14s. The women’s medley team, consisting of Aileen Bailey, Nadine Palmer, Sonita Sutherland and Kenia Sinclair, put away a spirited challenge from a Caribbean All Star team and clocked 3:37.61s.
