Jamaica vs Trinidad 2-2

After an exciting match that left the crowd with mixed emotions, the Jamaicans and Trinidadians have managed not to rub salt into the wound of their rivalry. After a devastating 2-0 start by the Jamaicans in the first half, the Trinidadians maintained composure and form to claw their way back unto even keel with the Jamaicans to end the match at 2-2.

The scoring started in the 34th minute when Phillips made a superb pass to an advancing King on the left who turned and curled a beautiful strike into goal. The second goal came from the Jamaican team captain, Tyrone Marshall, who latched unto a diagonal pass from Phillips and continued on goal with a slanted strike into the side netting to put the Jamaicans up 2.

The Trinidadians were not to be undone. Their maturity and composure showed through as on the 74th minute, their patience paid off with substitute Telesford slotting home a loose ball in the area. Aurtis salvaged the equalizer in extra time with a spectacular shot that beat substitute keep Duwayne Kerr.
