Kittitian Atiba Harris is to be traded by Real Salt Lake to Chivas USA. The trade was announced, completing a deal that has been in the works for weeks for a third round draft pick. In exchange for Harris, RSL receives the 37th pick of the annual Major League Soccer SuperDraft on January 18. That gives RSL four of the top 37 picks in the draft as well as an open roster spot for an international player.
Harris, 22, has scored four goals in his two year MLS career. He was the first player from the island nation of St. Kitts to play in the MLS and also holds the distinction of being the first player from that nation to be signed to a European club side when he did so in 2004.
