Asafa tops Stuttgart

Some would think that it was a good thing Tyson gay didn’t show up in Stuttgart. Asafa Powell ran a blistering 9.83s into a 0.3m/s headwind there to break the Championship record he set and take the 100m. Even though Jaysuma Ndure of Norway ran a National record 10.06s he could only achieve second best. Rounding out the podium was Powell’s teammate Michael Frater who finished in 10.11s.
