Jamaicans shine at the Athletissima Grand Prix in Switzerland

Novlene Williams and Kenia Sinclair clocked impressive seconds in the 400m and 800m respectively. Williams made 50.71 seconds beating Senegal’s Amy Mbacke Thiam (51.03) and American Dee Dee Trotter (51.48). Sinclair made an impressive 1:59.13 seconds ahead of American veteran Hazel Clarke (1:59.43) and Maria Mutola of Mozambique (1:59.66).

Jamaican Olympic gold medallist Veronica Campbell (11.07) came second with American Torri Edwards (11.00) in the 100 metres and Me’Lisa Barber (11.11) clocking in third.
